The billionaire arrived unannounced and found the maid with his paralyzed twins. What he saw left him in a state of shock.

Evan Roth froze on the threshold of the therapy room.

His briefcase fell to the ground as he watched his twin children sitting on the padded floor, while Rachel Monroe knelt beside them, gently holding their legs.

His wheelchairs remained empty by the window.

Fear hit him suddenly. "What's happening?" he asked.

"They were stiff," Rachel replied calmly. "I was just helping them stretch."

"They should be in their chairs," Evan retorted irritably. "You know that."

"They should feel like children, not patients," she answered.

The boys remained silent as the tension filled the room. "Put them back in their chairs," Evan ordered.

Rachel slowly helped Simon sit down, then Aaron, who clung to her before letting go.

Neither of them approached Evan. When she finished, Rachel softly said, "Today they laughed. It hasn't happened in a long time."

Evan asked her to leave. After she left, he knelt before his children, but they avoided looking at him.

Eighteen months ago, his mother died in a car accident, leaving the children with serious spinal injuries.

Evan had promised to protect them at all costs. He filled their lives with doctors, devices, and rules, turning safety into a prison.

Rachel arrived later to take care of the house. She wasn't a therapist, but she treated the children as if she were — and somehow they began to feel alive again.

That night, Evan watched the security footage and observed Rachel gently moving the boys' legs.

He noticed Aaron's fingers twitching and Simon smiling in a way he hadn't in months.

Hearing Rachel say, "Trying is where it all begins," broke something inside him.

At dawn, he found Rachel asleep in front of the children's room. "I was wrong," he told her. "They need you."
